Friday evening at the range PDF Print E-mail
Jun 26, 2009 at 09:58 PM
Pretty close to a great friday evening as you can get. Micah went to sleep at 7:30, Mary Beth's watching some chick flik or show and here am I all alone at the range. To top it off I hit at least 25% of my drives dead straight. The others? I'm just glad I had the range all to myself.

Perhaps not yet a dream realized but we're CLOSE!! Still got to get through either the Samba boys or Bafana Bafana. But who thought we'd get this far?

Father's day 2009 PDF Print E-mail
Jun 22, 2009 at 12:28 AM
I woke up to the sound of Micah shouting 'Daaaaaaad'...'Daaaaaaad'.
I wrestled with my son.
I opened up a bunch of gifts and cards from Micah and Mary Beth.
I exchanged father's day wishes with family and friends.
We had a great breakfast and went to church.
We sat in a room full of people and listened to music and a sermon.
We joined some friends for lunch at http://www.walterpaytonsroundhouse.com/
I spent the rest of the day with Micah and Mary Beth.
I had a long conversation with my dad.
I had a wonderful father's day.

Then tonight, I sat and watched the videos about the protests in Iran.

I watched a 19 year old girl die in her father's hands.

There is a revolution formenting in a land far away and we are all pretty much oblivious to it.
Other than in the conversation with my dad, Iran never came up.
If we dont stand up and do something, all we are going to be left with is a picture of a girl dying on the street.
Sad.

Mary Beth THOUGHT she snagged the best pictures we took over mother's day and memorial day. But here are the

best of the leftovers. This is us as we really are...

We love making faces.

You gotta cut loose sometimes.

  We honor our veterans.

There's a limit to what we'll put up with.

Get that crap out of here.

We love our mom...

just check out this smoking blonde.

We're doing this thing called life together.

 Keep it real folks.
